Does anybody know that you’re a Christian?

Does anybody know that you’re a Christian by your actions or does everybody think that you’re a Christian because you’re actin?
It’s time that we as believers come out from amongst the crowd and stand out, refusing to conform any longer to the pattern and culture of this world. Let’s take a stand for righteousness and holiness!! So many Christians in the world think the only way they can “succeed” in life is by compromising their values and blending in with the world. Whether it be participating in ungoldy conversations for the sake of networking or engaging in activities that directly go against the word of God that we’re suppose to live our lives by.
Chik-fil-A has recently come under fire for their support of a group who stands against gay marriage. While Chik-fil-A has ALWAYS stood on their biblical principles the culture is trying to force them to compromise and lower their standards. Why has the gay agenda been at the forefront of so many controversies relating to the attack on Christian standards in America? Because they choose to stand together and will continue to raise their voices until they are heard. A group of college students even went as far as getting Chick-fil-A temporarily suspended from their campus dining hall. When will believers stop being silent and stand! I know there is a remnant who have not bowed their knees to the god of this age. God is raising up the Nazirites that will forsake all to bring revival America! Who will stand with me? The Truth behind St. Valentine’s Day

We as Christians must ask ourselves why we go along with everything that the world is doing. Romans 12 clearly tells us(believers) that we can no longer follow the pattern or culture of this world but day after day year after year we conform. It may be that we don’t know the truth or that we reject the truth. If its the latter, we will have to give an account. Like Christmas, Easter, Halloween, New Year’s and other holidays of this world, St. Valentine’s Day is another attempt to “whitewash” perverted customs and observances of pagan gods and idols by “Christianizing” them.
As innocent and harmless as St. Valentine’s Day may appear, its traditions and customs originate from two of the most sexually perverted pagan festivals of ancient history: Lupercalia and the feast day of Juno Februata.
Celebrated on February 15, Lupercalia (known as the “festival of sexual license”) was held by the ancient Romans in honor of Lupercus, god of fertility and husbandry, protector of herds and crops, and a mighty hunter—especially of wolves. The Romans believed that Lupercus would protect Rome from roving bands of wolves, which devoured livestock and people.
To the Romans, February was also sacred to Juno Februata, the goddess of febris (“fever”) of love, and of women and marriage. On February 14, billets (small pieces of paper, each of which had the name of a teen-aged girl written on it) were put into a container. Teen-aged boys would then choose one billet at random. The boy and the girl whose name was drawn would become a “couple,” joining in erotic games at feasts and parties celebrated throughout Rome. After the festival, they would remain sexual partners for the rest of the year. This custom was observed in the Roman Empire for centuries.
After Constantine had made the Roman church’s brand of Christianity the official religion of the Roman Empire (A.D. 325), church leaders wanted to do away with the pagan festivals of the people. Lupercalia was high on their list. But the Roman citizens thought otherwise.
It was not until A.D. 496 that the church at Rome was able to do anything about Lupercalia. Powerless to get rid of it, Pope Gelasius instead changed it from February 15 to the 14th and called it St. Valentine’s Day. It was named after one of that church’s saints, who, in A.D. 270, was executed by the emperor for his beliefs
Just why does God hate anything that resembles pagan customs? Is it possible to “whitewash” or “Christianize” pagan practices and make them clean? Is it okay to practice pagan customs as long as you “worship God”?
Notice what God says in Leviticus chapter 18. After rescuing Israel from slavery, God warned them not to practice the customs they had picked up in Egypt, or learn the ways, customs and traditions of the Gentile nations that they would encounter in the Promised Land (vs. 1-3). Instead, God commanded Israel to follow His ways (vs. 4-5).
*For those that will say something like “it’s about spreading love and isn’t God all about love” Yes, He is but why would you limit it or emphasize it only on one day? That’s not love.
How long will the church continue to conform and compromise for the sake of comfort in the culture of this world?
Fight For Your Eyes

I came across an article entitle “Will the UK Block All Internet Porn”. The UK government is seeking to cut ALL access to internet pornography to keep their youth from being exposed to it. Do you think this is too extreme, I mean we’re talking about an entire country?
The government has seen the devastating effects (a sharp increase of counseling, relationship problems, etc.) of those were exposed to porn at a young age and do not want to see this repeated in this coming generation. They’ve already found that over 80% of kids 14-16 in UK watch pornography on a regular basis. There is another stat that I found from 2006 that says 47% of Christian households admit that pornography is a major problem in the home. (Which I honestly believe is much higher today)

When it’s considered normal to see 2 females kissing on daytime television and soft porn on our family shows we’re in trouble. Our eyes are being dulled and we don’t realize our whole body is being filled with darkness. The church has remained silent on this issue for too long. But when a large portion of preachers are addicted themselves how can the blind lead the blind? I can speak on this because I have lived this. I was the one in the college ministry still messing with females on side. I was the Youth Pastor ministering to teens telling them to be pure and walk in obedience to God’s word while living a secret life of addiction to pornography.
I learned to function in my dysfunction but there was never peace.
There more I lived this double life, the more the enemy attacked my mind; driving me to contemplate suicide at one point. I knew if I died that my eternal home would have been hell. It wasn’t until I began to take extreme measures to fight for my eyes that I was able to maintain my victory over porn. **The blood and the cross of Jesus set me free but I had to do my part to stay free (Rom 12:2, 1 Thess 4:4, Titus 2:6)** Jesus, himself told us to take extreme measures to cut off those things that could send us to hell…If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell (Matt 5:29).
The issue of pornography will not be overturned by some casual decisions. The issue of pornography must be met with great force and aggression!
For me, that meant no longer listening to secular music, watching BET/MTV, and a lot of other shows and movies, cutting off cable completely, and minimizing my leisure time on the internet. I found something greater to gaze at, the beauty of Christ.

May we as the Bride of Christ begin to guard our eyes and turn from worthless things. Let us declare war on the issue of pornography and not sit another day idle. I call forth the Jonathans that will no longer just be content with sitting on the sidelines of battle but will arise and approach enemy lines with full assurance of victory!
